TRY THE "ULTIMATE NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION" by Doria Gambino |
|
With January first about to arrive, many of us may be thinking about making a
“resolution” for the new year. How many have you made in the past, and how
many have you actually kept? Most of them end up seeming like such a chore
after awhile, don’t they?
Well, this one is actually fun to do, and can benefit many areas of your life simultaneously through the “ripple effect.” So many other things you would like to improve (your health, your weight, your finances, your relationships, and so forth) can be improved by doing this one simple thing: Starting on New Year’s Day, set an intention to look for the GOOD in every situation. No matter what comes up in your life, rather than reacting off the cuff, take a moment to ask yourself one simple question: “Is there anything about this situation that could be or could lead to something positive?” This will take some practice at first, especially if you’ve developed a habit in the past of automatically dreading certain situations or always expecting the worst to happen. But the “magic” of this New Year’s Resolution is that once you get into the habit of LOOKING for the positive aspects of all situations, you will actually FIND them. You will discover that almost every situation you encounter in life has something to offer, something that could benefit you if you take the time to think about it. Moreover, the more you focus on the good things in life, the more you will attract OTHER good things. A positive attitude causes you to expect good things, which in turn opens your eyes to seeing opportunities you might otherwise have missed, which in turn leads to more good things showing up in your life, and so on. “Cosmic law” states that positive thoughts act like “magnets” that automatically start to attract positive conditions. Once you build up some momentum, this simple change in your outlook can end up changing your whole life for the better.
