Peace Pledge
(you can recite this every morning if you like, to focus your consciousness)
I commit myself to holding Peace in my consciousness.
I commit myself to sending Love to the World in all of my moments.
I commit myself to filling everything I touch with Divine Light.
I commit myself to seeing the World in Harmonious Oneness.
And So It Is.
Mantra" Prayers
Many meditators have found that it is easier to focus their minds and intentions by reciting a single word or phrase (called a "mantra") during mediation or prayer. You can also recite the word/phrase while engaged in your daily activities: showering, walking, housework, cooking, and so forth. Feel free to use any of these suggestions, and/or make up your own mantras:
"LOVE IS ALL THERE IS"
"WE ARE ALL ONE"
"PEACE IS IN MY HEART"
"ONE WORLD, IN PEACE"
You can repeat a single word like "Love," "Joy," or "Peace" over and over again, mentally or out loud. You can even chant or sing the word or phrase. Use whatever works to focus your mind and emotions on the feelings of Love, Oneness, and Gratitude.
Prayer of Saint Francis
(this is a very famous and very powerful prayer)
"Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console,
To be understood as to understand,
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
It is in dying to self that we are born to eternal life."
