If you’re in a “blah” mood, SMILE! Did you know that simply forming the
muscles of your face into a smile can actually lift your mood? That’s right --
because of the connection between the mind and the body, if your face has a
smile on it, your brain starts producing the chemicals that are associated with
feeling happy. You can actually MAKE yourself happy just by smiling. Try it
for a few minutes, and see what happens.
And of course, be sure to smile at people you encounter throughout the day. Smiles are contagious -- if you smile at someone, chances are s/he will return your smile. And after you’ve received a few bright, sunny, friendly smiles from other people, you’re bound to feel uplifted.
