SUGGESTIONS FOR RUNNING A SUCCESSFUL FUNDRAISER: (Feel free to print out this information and use these suggestions for selling our hypnosis tapes in your community) There are many ways you can find customers eager to purchase hypnosis tapes: 1) One of the simplest, easiest ways to generate sales is to make announcements at all of your meetings that these products are available, and designate someone to display and sell the products at each meeting. 2) You can post a sign right on your building's front lawn, so that smokers and dieters who are driving by will stop in to purchase a tape. 3) If your organization publishes a newsletter, be sure to print an announcement about these tapes and how to purchase them. 4) If your organization has an e-mail list, send out an e-mail describing these hypnosis tapes. Be sure to include the retail price, and complete instructions for placing an order. 5) If your town newspaper publishes press releases about organizations like yours, perhaps they will print an announcement about your fundraiser. One short paragraph is all you need, something like "Quit smoking/lose weight the easy way: (Name of organization) is now offering self-hypnosis tapes for sale at $20 each, to raise funds for (state what the money raised will be used for). For more information, contact (phone number)." 6) You can have flyers printed up describing the hypnosis tapes and how to order them, and ask all of your members to hand out flyers wherever they can. Volunteers from your organization can go to local stores and other places that have a lot of foot traffic, and ask the proprietors if you can put up one of your flyers in their windows. 7) Ask all of your members to participate in this fundraiser by committing to sell 5 tapes each. Everyone knows a smoker or two who might like to quit, and everyone knows people who are on a diet and struggling to find a way to eat healthier. If you have 100 members and each member takes just five tapes home to sell to friends, family and coworkers, you can easily sell 500 of these products in a week or two. (To provide extra incentive, you could hold a contest, and reward a prize to the member who sells the most tapes.) 8) One way to sell large quantities of hypnosis tapes is to visit your local doctors, chiropractors, holistic health centers, even weight-loss centers. Health-care practitioners are ALWAYS trying to get their patients to quit smoking and lose excess weight. If you sell a bunch of tapes to these professionals for say $10 per tape, the physicians can then sell them to their patients for $15 or $20, and both you and the doctors will make a profit. 9) If any of your members own a store or other retail business, ask if he or she would be willing to display and sell the tapes right there in the store. 10) If your town holds any festivals, you can rent a booth and sell these products to people who attend the festival. If you don't have opportunities to participate in festivals, perhaps your organization could get permission to set up a table outside the local library or other establishment in town to sell to the public. 11) During November and December, be sure to spread the word that these hypnosis tapes make great holiday gifts for people's loved ones who plan to quit smoking or start a diet as their New Year's Resolution. 12) Finally, if your organization is a nonprofit group that accepts charitable donations, you can offer a FREE hypnosis tape as an incentive to anyone who makes a donation of say $25 or more.
